Good Morning – Horrible Migraine

Good morning everyone!  I am feeling pretty decent today.  First time all week. I’ve been struggling with the worst migraine I’ve ever had for the past 3 days.  I still have the echo to contend with today, but I FINALLY broke it.  Unfortunately, that also means I am behind on homework, and the assignment that I had due last night has yet to be turned in.  I couldn’t handle looking at this computer screen yesterday.  It’s bothering me a bit today too, so as soon as the pain meds that I took this morning kick in, I have research to do and a 1500 word essay to write.  Hopefully I get it in by tonight… cross your fingers for me would you?

For now though, I am going to go and rest for a few minutes.  I woke up feeling great but for some reason I am beginning to feel cruddy again.  I hope you all have a great day!

        1. No, no need to apologize. I wasn’t trying to dissuade you, by any stretch of the imagination. I just really didn’t have time to read your post right now. I’ll most likely read it this afternoon. I’m on Spring Break right now… so I am trying to read as little as possible lol (says the woman who picked up a CEH certification study guide yesterday).

    1. Isn’t it horrible how debilitating it is? I find that the source of my migraines is cheese (dairy allergy) but I haven’t had a lot of cheese lately. So I don’t now what triggered this one. I’m just glad that it is finally over and my productivity levels have returned to normal.

      1. I have had to eliminate dairy, wheat, beans, eggs, tomatoes, citrus, onions, bananas, chocolate, caffeine, and food additives. Could it be one of those things (besides the dairy which you have already eliminated)? Fragrances, bright lights, and storm fronts also get me.

        Actually, I read some of your other comments below and recalled that you don’t have them very frequently. So, maybe it isn’t one of these other things. My migraines go through seasons. I’ll get them frequently for a couple of years, and then not as often. I’m not sure why this is, but I’ve decided to maintain my diet changes since this is the only thing I can control. Since the diet changes, any migraine I do get isn’t as severe.

        1. I’m allergic to dairy and soy. Dairy affects my migraines, but I haven’t had a whole lot of that this week. Mostly because I had a migraine lol. Soy doesn’t cause migraines, it causes other issues. Which is why I limit how much I have in my diet. However my allergist prefers I add these items to my diet at least once or twice a week (every 3 – 4 days).

          A few years ago I had a bad run of migraines, which is why I was put on beta blockers and given migraine meds that desolve under my tongue. I’ve been off the beta blockers for about a year now, though I keep them on hand just in case. This is by far the worst one I’ve ever had and I don’t remember my last one.

  1. Sorry to hear you’ve had a bad migraine. I hope it goes away and you were able to get your stuff done. I think I might be getting a migraine now. My vision and brain feel extra wonky today.
