The Plane! The Plane!

Let me just start by saying BWI must have changed their flight plans, or whatever they change the causes planes to fly where they never used to, because they have been flying really close to the house lately.  I mean really close.  Why am I writing about planes you ask?  Because as I sat down to write today’s post, one flew over the apartment building so low that I couldn’t hear the tv or the person I was on the phone with lol.  I’ve been living here almost 2 years and I don’t remember planes flying right over the apartment.

Anyway…

Yesterday my math grades posted from last week.  I’m so excited!  I stressed over this homework assignment.  It didn’t help that I started it kind of late.  I started it at like 2pm on a Sunday and it was due Monday but I wanted to turn it in on Sunday.  That’s not the point.  I had to watch many many YouTube videos in order to figure out how to turn this matrix into a graph.  The book spoke latin (why can’t textbook writers speak plain English?) So my only hope was YouTube.

Needless to say I did really well on last weeks assignment.  I’m so happy.  Now last night’s assignment was confusing enough to send me running to a live lesson.  At the end, being that I was still a bit confused, he asked if there were any questions.  I unloaded on him.  I had questions for days.  Class ran over by 15 minutes I had so many questions lol.  He answered my questions.  He helped me see I was over thinking the assignment and I was able to post my assignment within a half hour of the end of class.  So much stress over a little vector that I just wasn’t wrapping my head around.  The book didn’t explain vectors well enough.  It’s not my fault.  Here’s the question.

Determine the runtime for adding 2 matrices of size 1 x n and what is the runtime in terms of big-O notation?

What’s the answer?

Okay, so that is it for today.  Had a little whining to do.  I also wanted to share my grade with you guys.  My instructor is a perfectionist, so even when I earn a 100% he tells me what I could have done better.  I kind of appreciate it.  He doesn’t like that I label vertices with alphabets instead of numbers.  I just don’t want anymore numbers in my field of view than I need.  Don’t need the extra noise, if that makes sense.  Anyway…

I’m out!  BFN 🙂
