An Offer I Couldn’t Refuse…

but I wish I had.  As some of you know I haven’t had the greatest experience with Sears since I’ve been here in Maryland.  However, I bought my tires there and I bought a 3 year realignment package (while still in Colorado) that I have to get honored at Sears.  When you live in the land of the pothole going in to get your alignment done becomes expensive.  Which was my reasoning behind purchasing it in the first place.  Anyway…

I was due an oil change last week according to the sticker on my windshield.  I decided last night since I could get my tires rotated and my alignment checked and done for free I’d make an appointment at Sears.  It’s been about 6 months since I’d been there so I forgot just how much I hate that place.  My appointment was at 10 this morning, I showed up at about 9:45am.  I decided I’d walk around the mall a couple of times and by the time I got back my car would be ready.

No such luck!

I came back at 10:40am to see my truck still sitting outside on the curb where I friggin left it.  I sat down in front of the window and tried to remain calm.  I pulled out my book but I was mad, so I couldn’t read just yet.  So then I pulled out my phone and opened up the Yelp app.  Nothing like a little passive aggressive activity to help me feel better.  I wrote a review for that Sears Auto on Yelp warning people to stay away.

I mean really… What is the point of the appointment if they aren’t going to honor said appointment?

I had to finally go in there at 11am, or just after to let them know, hey!  I had an appointment for an hour ago.  Then I told the guy if you can’t get to my car fine.  Give it back and I’ll go to Jiffy Lube.  At least I am in and out of there in 15 minutes.  He said we’ll get to it in a minute.  We are just wrapping up our 9am appointments.  (you remember me stating that this is after 11am right?)

I finally got out of there about 12ish and made it back home at 12:30pm.  That is about to be the slowest place on Earth.  I’d love to say never again, but I am going to use my freebies as long as I have them.  Next time maybe I’ll drop it off instead.

    1. I loved Sears when we were in Colorado. They were efficient and they always took good care of us. The Sears at Columbia Mall is different. They are slow and it’s apparent that they don’t care about the customer. Oh and BTW, the never did my alignment after all that time.
