You’ve been granted the power to predict the future! The catch — each time you use your power, it costs you one day (as in, you’ll live one day less). How would you use this power, it at all?

I think if I have been granted this power I would use it.  Not often, probably only twice.

I imagine a lot of people want to predict if they would hit the Powerball or something like that.  I think I would like to use it the first time, to know when I will die.  I once thought I wouldn’t want to know when I will die.  But now I am at a place in my life that I think it would be a good thing to know the day I will die.  That way I can make sure that all my business is taken care of.  Everyone in my life, that I love, will be prepared.  Most of all my husband.  He doesn’t handle loss well.  I’d like time to prepare him for it.

The second time I would use my power to predict the future would be to see if my son would be okay.  My wishes for him has always been that he would be loved and happy.  I want that more than anything.  So yeah, I would use my power to see how things turn out for him.

I have no real need for anything else.  There is nothing else I would want to know.  I will not be a parlor trick for my friends.  I will not be predicting everyone’s future.  I will just use this power to ensure my family is okay.  That’s it.
