Butterfly Garden

The Smithsonian has gardens spread out throughout the National Mall.  After going to the Natural History Museum I decided to just walk next door to the Butterfly Habitat Garden.  There weren’t any butterflies because it’s still pretty early in the season.  I did see two moths frolicking, but that was about it and they were fast, so no photo, sorry.

I mostly went there to see the flowers.  I love flowers.  I love the contrast in colors and textures.

My cousin asked me “Why don’t you take classes and do portraits?”.  People don’t interest me.  Nature does.  I feel, to sit and take photos of people all day long would be a waste of my energy.

I’d rather be walking through a garden or a park photographing what catches my eye.  I just hate that I don’t yet know how to make what I see with my eyes show in what I photos.  I like my photos, but I don’t love them.
