3.9

So this is my 9th week of my 3rd semester… now that my OSI research paper is behind me FINALLY, man how time has flown LOL  No really, before I finished it on Sunday and emailed it to my teacher, time was dragging so slowly it was ridiculous.  But now that boring paper is behind me, I probably won’t be making and A on it and I’ve made peace with that, I’m ready to put my last 2 papers of the semester behind me.

Apparently people in my Science class aren’t doing too well, so my teacher offered us extra credit in the way of Jenga.  Yep, you read that right.  It was a little experiment in economics but we had so much fun playing it we missed the friggin point lol.  I didn’t need the extra credit, but my team earned 5 extra credit points anyway.  Before last nights festivities, my grade was a 101%.

My Networking teacher is the one that demanded this evil OSI paper.  I hated every word of that paper.  I was so utterly bored while researching it I honestly feel asleep like 5 times.  I finally sucked it up and just knocked it out this weekend.  All 5 pages (double spaced 10pt Times New Roman) of it.  Am I more versed in the OSI Model now, probably not.  After a while I stopped absorbing information and just did the best I could with what I had to offer.  Will I get an A, hell no.  If I do you’ll be the first to know, but I didn’t foresee that in my future lol.  My grade, last time I looked at it for Networking was a 95.4%.  Not bad, but not much room for a major screw up either.  Not happy right now.  So we have been offered 2 extra credit opportunities.  Apparently some people in that class are actually not going to pass, which is the only time he offers extra credit.  So we have an opportunity to go in tomorrow and help with the installation of 50 new computers for extra credit.  I may do it.  Haven’t decided yet.  Or we could write a paper about the Constitution, due on Constitution Day (September 17th)  I’m leaning towards the paper.  Or I may do both, I am a bit of an overachiever… or so I’ve been told.

I have decided to take classes next semester, even though we will be moving a few weeks before the semester is officially over.  My Wednesday night teacher will be my teacher for 2 of my 3 classes next semester.  She is willing to help me make sure all of my work will be turned in before the move by giving it to me early.  The Dean for the department has approved this plan.  So I am locked in.  I asked for Linux to be taught next semester, and it’s on the schedule.  I’m so excited.  I have never used Linux before.  It’s an elective, also the only one I’ve taken to date.  I don’t know what my grade is, but I’ve only missed like 5 questions on 7 quizzes, so I’m pretty sure I still have an A lol.  Not really worried about it.

Okay, that’s it for today, just wanted to give y’all a little school update since I haven’t done that in a while.  BFN!
